As a Realtor in St. Augustine and St. Johns County, Florida, for 11 years, I have gained experience in all phases of the Real Estate business while focusing primarily on residential property. I passed the Florida license exam and began working in the field in July 2006. The market had already peaked and the era of
“no Doc” financing was ending so I experienced the market collapse for the next several years. During this time foreclosures and short sales became a large part of the market and I learned to handle some complex transactions and difficult situations as I broadened my real estate sales experience. The continuing education required to renew my license has also been very valuable.
I am a US Air Force Veteran with Fire Control and Radar Installation and maintenance experience on F-100 jet fighters. I graduated with honors and a BSEE degree from the University of Florida in 1969. As an electrical power engineer, I worked with Square D Company in various locations and positions, including as Field Engineer working with customers consulting engineers to specify custom switchgear assemblies. Also in Product Marketing/Management I was coordinating and negotiating sales of large projects with custom designed electrical power and controls equipment. Most of my time with Square D was in Middletown, Ohio, and Nashville, Tennessee. In 2004 I took advantage of an early retirement opportunity to return to St. Augustine, Florida, with my family. My wife Florence was born here in St. Augustine and graduated from St. Joseph Academy. I grew up in Clay County (Green Cove Springs) and graduated from Clay High School. We have 3 children who are new adults living in Florida and Ohio.
